Hi vintage lovers. I have a vintage confession to make, a blog slip up as it may seem. I could give you a list of reasons why I had the slip up and why I didn’t write a blog last week but I thought instead I would share my story. Now before you have a moment and fret please don’t and continue to read on as this story has a fairy tale vintage ending.
So last week was the lead up to one of the most memorable moments in every women’s life and yes most definitely the most memorable moment in my life. It was my wedding. With a never-ending list of last minute jobs like alterations to bridesmaid’s dresses, dry cleaning, decorating, picking up family members from the airport, I mean the list really did feel like it was never ending. Can you relate to this?
After finally getting through the to do list it was time to check in to the hotel and part ways with my special man until our big moment. The wedding theme itself was a vintage inspired 1940’s romantic elegant theme with the colour peach incorporated into the day. My dress was an elegant V-neck with a semi-sheer back and beautiful pearl embroidery detailing, natural waist Lali gown that reminded me of the 1940’s Hollywood glam. Topping it off with a delicate birdcage to finish the look.
The celebration had hit its peak on the Saturday afternoon on a beautiful sunny summer afternoon. Once arriving to the ceremony the moment had finally come where I was ready to walk down the isle in front of all our family, friends and people that we hold dear to us to meet my husband to be, who was looking very dashing in his black suit with white tie. Thankfully standing either side of me were my triplet sisters arm in arm (as my father has pasted several years ago) to steady my nerves.
Overall the day was magical and seemed to have passed way to quickly. I want to thank everyone that has helped me with the preparation, my beautiful bridesmaids and groomsmen for all of their love and support to the both of us and everyone that was able to share our special day with us.
